A London-based Brighton & Hove Albion Supporters Club
Paul Whelch RIP
Seagulls over London are sad to learn of the loss of their leader, Paul Whelch, after several months battling in hospital against the complications of diabetes. Paul played critical roles fighting for the continued existence of our club, securing the return to Withdean and ultimately the development of our home at Falmer. Paul initiated and run our club for London based Albion supporters for 23 years, keeping us informed and entertained at our bi-monthly meetings, only possible because of his club contacts. His love of football, the Albion and real ale shone through. He will be missed by us all.
Venue & Format
Meetings are usually hosted every other month at the Royal Oak, Borough—London’s only Harvey’s pub:
The Royal Oak
44 Tabard Street
London, SE1 4JU [gmap]
We tend to gather in the back bar from around 6.30-7pm, before heading up to the meeting room upstairs for 7.30pm.
Guests speakers usually chat for a couple of hours. There’s then a short break, before supporters meet for a few drinks, finishing at around 10.30pm.
Seagulls Over London is place to hear about all things Albion, from the inside. If you live or work in the capital, you'll get a lot from joining Seagulls Over London. It's a chance to discuss the latest Brighton news with other fans and representatives from the club.
Guests have included Gus Poyet, Tony Bloom, Dick Knight & Martin Perry. View more past guests.
Membership costs just £5/year. All are welcome. If you're new, or wish to join, just pop along to a meeting, and we’ll sign you up.
